Workgroup Goals
The Data Consideration & Exploration Workgroup works to collect important data and turn those results into tangible action. Our workgroup is focused on establishing an overdose fatality review committee to better understand and prevent overdose deaths. We aim to strengthen connections with local hospitals to improve collaboration and care. Additionally, we will assist in the distribution of an informational survey to gather valuable data on Naloxone (Narcan) distribution sites and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services, helping to improve access and response efforts.

Current Projects
Our workgroup is collaborating with RODA to create and implement an overdose fatality review committee in San Bernardino County to better understand and address overdose deaths. We are also reaching out to local hospitals to emphasize the importance of capturing real-time data on overdoses and treatment. Additionally, our members are assisting Public Health in disseminating a survey, with the collected data to be integrated into the ODASH to enhance our community's response and resources.
